Every time a potential customer submits a mortgage request on UCI’s website, additional information is required to understand their situation and evaluate the opportunity.

Traditionally, this process relies on manual outbound calls from sales teams. As lead volume grows, these initial qualification calls can become time-consuming and difficult to scale.

UCI needed a way to quickly gather the necessary information while allowing advisors to focus on the conversations where their expertise adds the most value.

AI voice agents for lead qualification

To automate this process, UCI deployed AI voice agents powered by Rauda AI. When a new mortgage request is submitted, the system automatically triggers an outbound call to the customer. The AI agent conducts a structured conversation that typically lasts around ten minutes, asking the key questions required to evaluate the lead.

During the call, the agent adapts to the customer’s language and collects all relevant information, which is automatically structured and synced back into UCI’s CRM.

Turning leads into qualified opportunities

With AI voice agents managing the first stage of the process, UCI can now handle thousands of incoming mortgage requests more efficiently. Every year, the system manages over 200,000 minutes of conversation with potential loan buyers through automated outbound calls, processing more than 2,000 leads per month.

During these interactions, over 40% of leads are fully qualified automatically with all the required information collected, while only 5% of conversations are escalated to a human agent during the call. This allows UCI’s teams to focus their time on advising qualified prospects and progressing opportunities instead of conducting repetitive initial qualification calls.
